Police: 3 found dead in Wash. home
SPOKANE, Wash. — Police were searching for the person responsible for the deaths of a woman and two children whose bodies were found in a home in north Spokane, authorities said Saturday.
Police spokeswoman Officer Jennifer DeRuwe said they were looking "for one specific suspect" believed to be in a domestic relationship with the three found dead Friday night. Maj. Frank Scalise described it as "a potential domestic violence" situation.
The victims' names, ages and cause of death were not immediately released. DeRuwe said she couldn't specify the victims' relationship to each other.
"Several different children live in the home and we don't know exactly who is there," she said. "We're getting piecemeal reports from friends and neighbors."
Police responding to a 911 call about a dead body in a home found three bodies instead. DeRuwe said the neighborhood was near a main arterial through the city, several blocks from a park.
Officers who arrived at the scene were only able to verify the conditions of the victims before they were forced to leave and seek a search warrant, she said.
