Wounded Vet Walks Out Of Hospital

(CBS)

And this is today. We're thrilled to tell you that after six months of treatment at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, the 27-year old Edmundson walked out into the arms of his wife and daughter.

He was one of the first Iraq combat wounded to be treated at the renowned institute, and thanks to his father's relentless efforts, not the last.

QueenOfThePen says:
I'm truly touched by Army Sergeant Eric Edmundson's major rehabilitation accomplishments. As a fellow military veteran, his personal triumphs shows how strong is his determination. I'm so proud to be in the same category as Army Sergeant Edmundson--a veteran. I thank him and his family for all their sacrifices. http://bitly.com/bundles/queenofthepen/3
