Sneak Preview
Wednesday night on the CBS Evening News, we aired the story of a small, once-peaceful Midwestern town that's been turned upside-down by an alleged hit list and the secretive group that may be behind it. When Investigative Producer Michael Rey and Correspondent Armen Keteyian went to Shawano, Wisc., to check out the situation there, they found themselves confronted almost immediately on Main Street with some people who were not exactly happy to see them. The CBS team had been speaking with Mikel Lauber, a reporter with CBS affiliate WSAW. Watch what happens next:

And check out some of the other videos from onlookers or participants in the conversation that they've posted on YouTube.

Sure looks like a group with a lot to hide, and their actions suggest they feel the right to do anything they like - in other words, their actions fit exactly a group who would feel a hit list to take out people who dispute them would be OK.

If this cult has defaulted on property tax, can''t the city foreclose? I am all for religious freedom, but this is just a group that is trying to impose its will on a whole city. Besides, the guy in the blue hat said this is a business, not a religion.

If the eyes are the windows to the soul, then the guy with the blue cap has a pretty ugly soul.

I think I believe the hit list to be real based on their actions alone.
