Katie On Hillary

Hillary Clinton says a friend of hers describes her as "the most famous woman that people don't know." Well, America will get to know her, one way or another, in the next few months, as one of the most anticipated Presidential campaigns in recent history rolls out across the country.

As part of that roll-out, Senator Clinton came to our New York studio this afternoon for an interview, two days after launching her campaign on her Web site. She looked polished and poised – and prepared. She explained why she doesn't support President Bush's "surge" in troops for Iraq. And she talked a bit about her vision for the country, and repeated the phrase she used in her website's announcement Saturday, that she believed America needs a leader who will take steps that are "bold and practical." (You can catch more of the interview on tonight's Evening News.)

Of course, it remains to be seen what specific "bold and practical" plans and policies she'll be outlining – and whether any of that will resonate with the rest of the country.

One thing is certain: with the remarkable lineup of talent from both parties jockeying for position, political junkies will have a field day watching the election season unfold. This promises to be an extraordinary -- and long -- campaign.

by nuzreporter January 23, 2007 1:22 PM EST: It was pretty well a given that Hitler had risen to such prominence that when he took over the country with barely a whimper of opposition, no one cared. But I think Hillary will find people in America care, no matter how dumb she believes them to be. Look at her statements. In response to a question on taxes her response is a classic Clinton remark, "I am not taking any positions or making any pledges. I am simple here to listen and to talk (chat.) " The American press will try to let her get away with it but the closer we get to the election, the less likely her chances of getting elected without saying anything. I probably would have asked her about her interview with Katie back during the Clinton scandals, like the Monica issue when asked by Katie "Mrs. Clinton who do you think is behind these rumors of your husband and Monica?" ....... Mrs. Clinton " Well Katie it's just another right wing conspricacy" .....REALLY NOW??????
Bottom line is the Clinton's have lied to the American public again and again .......... and as much as our corrupt liberal media likes to forget about these incidents........Americans haven't.............bottom line is Americans don't trust nor can trust past lies.......; Reply to this comment
