I am a regular viewer of CBS evening news. Two nights ago you led a story by noting that Obama had an audience of 10,000 at the University of Wisconsin compared to 17,000 at the same venue in 2008. According to the Washington Post and other media, the audience filled the 17,000 seat venue and the total audience was 27,000 plus those who lined the motorcade route. Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather would never have presented as a fact the figure 10,000 - they would have said according to some reports there were 10,000... If I wanted speculation and propaganda presented as facts I would go to Fox. At least ABC and NBC still check to assure that what they present as facts are indeed facts. Even if a staffer presents you with a supposed "fact," your viewers expect you to verify verify verify.

I would be interested if anyone in CBS reads this message - I tried to find a way to e-mail you directly, but no such info is on CBS site.

by kenhamlett September 29, 2010 5:23 AM EDT: There was a reference to KC responding to her detractors on Twitter but it was not mentioned that she has also been very helpful to individuals as well. While I am no great fan of Twitter it does allow a personal interaction which allows us to see the real person to a limited extent. KC has shown herself to be a remarkably kind person while not being shy about defending her work.
The web show varies all over the place which should attract more viewers. It is like TV in that not every segment is for every person but overall everyone can find something of interest. Keep it going Katie!; Reply to this comment
