Chelsea Handler Late Night Network Gig?
Against the backdrop of the recent late night wars with Conan, Leno and Letterman - Chelsea Handler tells @katiecouric that she was approached by a network in the past couple of years.
Couric asked, "Why can't they have a woman do, on a major network, a late-night comedy show?"
"They actually came to me and approached me for-- a network, -- probably like a year and a half ago, when the whole talk of the shakedown was going," Handler said.
"Yeah, and to be quite honest, I didn't think I was really ready to graduate to that particular point," Handler said. "And I'm not really sure that that's where the future of late night is."
