I think she needs to be more assertive and not so patronizing. As for Rush Limbaugh, that was a big turn off for me. They can't pick up the slack without her. Keep Katie the same refreshing anchor she was and you will do well. You know the women will follow and you know we will have a Woman President one day.. Women already rule the world both in front and behind the scenes don't they!!! Behind every great man is a woman... by blindcowboy September 8, 2006 3:01 AM EDT: After reading all the comments, All were either bashing the President or bashing rush and even bashing Katie, I'm a disable Veteran who would in a minute do what my commander in chief wants me to do and it doesnt matter if i agree or not so unless you gave your time serving your country QUIT whining. And as for Rush he spoke the truth and if the truth hurts so be it. I have watched Katie for along time on today and i respect her as a very intelligent bright and beautiful lady and i will still watch her on CBS, Keep up the good work Katie John; Reply to this comment

by jesindia September 7, 2006 6:58 PM EDT: Another Pre-election statement... to show that alls being done. Its hard to fight and win with weapons, add more love. And be a danger with full might when really sure and needed.
I still never make it to home by 6 pm to see much of the evenign news , try to make it @ 6:30 or a repeat late night since tryign to get the ladies before its too late and after Oprah :-) .
Why do i hate Oprah? because my wife spends much time if she is at home then and I dont get the attention..........; Reply to this comment


by naples-fl September 7, 2006 6:26 PM EDT: I enjoyed watching Katie and the new format, with the exception of the freeSpeech segment. After seeing Katie travel a bit around the country to hear what the average viewer wanted in an evening news show, I thought the freeSpeech segment would have opinions by the average viewer, but that does not seem to be the direction that CBS is going. The opinions of last two speakers feel too rehearsed and actually feel more like I'm receiving a lecture than a brief opinion. I'm not jumping ship though, I have confidence that you will tweak the new format into something that we will all look forward to seeing :); Reply to this comment
