Mo Rocca

Mo Rocca was named a correspondent for "CBS Sunday Morning" in December 2011.

Known for his satirical news reports and commentary, Rocca has been serving as a contributor for the broadcast since 2006, and in his new capacity will continue reporting for "Sunday Morning," as well as other CBS News broadcasts

"His title is Correspondent, but we see Mo, as we see all our "Sunday Morning" contributors, as a 'columnist,' bringing his own unique - and it is unique - perspective to everything he does," commented "Sunday Morning" Executive Producer Rand Morrison.

Rocca is a humorist, actor and Emmy award-winning writer. He is a panelist on NPR's weekly hit quiz show, "Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me!," and the host of "Food(ography)" on the Cooking Channel. He spent four seasons as a correspondent on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," and four seasons as a correspondent on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."

Recent "Sunday Morning" segments by Rocca include a report on the history of Prohibition, an interview with the actress Michelle Williams and a tribute to the state of New Jersey.

I watched the Fenway spot with interest as some of us in the Midwest are afflicted with the same malady, sometimes known as Addison-Clark disease. On May 20 I will take my young daughter for her first pilgrimage to that holiest of shrines. My question is this: Should she genuflect and say a silent prayer at the entrance, kiss the hands of the Cub statues outside the park or kiss the bricks & Ivy?
This will be an especially poignant time since it is a crosstown rivalry game and Mom is a White Sox fan!

Mo, you had said a long time ago you'd love to visit Thomas Jefferson's retreat, Poplar Forest in Bedford County VA. Why not go there on May 12, when TJ returns to host his colleague Alexander Hamilton? What a great way to meet two historic Americans and listen to them debate the issues of their day. Maybe you could get an interview on central bank v. no central bank? Deficit v. no deficit?The possibilities are endless!!!

I think casual is acceptable periodically depending on the person interviewed. It makes for a more candid interview and Mo Rocca does get it. Odd that Mo Rocca has been a correspondent since December 2011 and still remains off the list of correspondents on this website:

Rocca good job with stories, your everyday guy attire is not cool, your on national TV their has to be a dress code. How do you dress when not on TV. The gray hair, plaid shirts and jeans and black glasses is really a down grade for CBS. Come on grow up, your not in college anymore.
