Let's Talk For A Minute

Just in case you missed this, here's a good example of the discourse that is possible in the media.

Nice Try Vaughn. GROW A PAIR..Try putting some action behind your links...1) Interview Josh Yager on your sanctimoneous Public Eye about his 'unbiased perspective' 2) ask him when/if they'll air General Lynch's letter on 60Minutes 3) stop selling yourselves as having a "discourse"...this's just a Producer playing CYA using statistics as justification for bias.

Quit patting yourself on the back and tell me when Gen. Lynch's letter will appear on 60 minutes, as he requested. I'm betting on the day after hell freezes over. Some discourse.

This is what I consider real insight into CBS News. Thanks for sharing Vaughn! I saw something the other day on CNN that the Washington Post had listed which Senators had taken advantage of looking at ALL the intelligence prior to the vote on going to war. The number was embarrasingly (ridiculously) low 6 (perhaps 10)--why is this not being investigated more? Is this true? If it isn't--shouldn't someone disprove that statement since it has been picked up by other outlets...The Senate Intelligence committee even made a statement last week on how the people would be saddened to see how few of their elected leaders looked at all the available information prior to voting. Shouldn't this be news? If my Senator didn't look at all the info offered to him prior to voting-I would want to know.

Yes Vaughn! THIS is exactly what we in the hinterlands are hungering for from our news sources. A dialog that is open and fair, that differing erspectives. Please continue with this kind of reporting/blogging. I applaud your restraint in not "filtering" the information before your reader clicks on the link.
