More Toyotas Need Oil Hose Fix
Toyota says it has added about 128,000 vehicles to the list of those that need a fix for potentially leaky oil hoses.
Toyota sent out a notice to dealers last week notifying them that the 2007 to 2009 model year RAV4 and Avalon models with V6 engines have oil hoses that can degrade over time. Toyota began the service campaign last year and about 934,000 vehicles are now affected by it.
Toyota says it is not a safety problem and it is not a recall. The leaky hoses can cause engine noise and light up the oil pressure light on vehicle dashboards.
Drivers should begin receiving notices in the mail early this month to bring their vehicles in for replacement hoses.

Oil Hoses ?
I think TOYOTA doing well to fix own problems now.
Unfortunately I don't have TOYOTA car recently I am fixing cracked hose of American car myself, changing parts etc. All cost paid by me.
You may appreciate TOYOTA bashing made extra treatment for TOYOTA users in USA.
I watched and finished whole hearing of TOYOTA at Cspan3, there is a full video.
I found some translation problems there.
Toyota did not say 100% or absolutely in japanese but the translator used those strong words and
she repeatedly used going forward too much.
There was not 100% right translations between TOYOTA and people made questions.
Also questions made to TOYOTA two representatives there was inappropriate there sometimes,
had to ask to former presidents between 2001 to 2009.
One man said " American should be top on the company in Japan."
I did not get this meaning.
If Americans want to establish companies in Japan, they can do anytime.
what is relating particular TOYOTA issue and American top in Japan?
Strange comments at all.
The fact, many international companies in japan, and they succeeded in Japan.
I felt what's wrong with this man to say " American should be top in Japan?"
There are many Americans live with japanese in japan , they have jobs and companies.
By the way, TOYOTA is a company stays in Local area in Japan, it is not mean TOYOTA is showing
all Japanese culture and people as representatives of Japan.
To related to TOYOTA issue write or say something about Japan that is really unacceptable.
I am a Japanese criticize some Japanese companies and type of people hard , however it is not about entire Japan.
But when Americans start to write or say, it is about entire japanese and Japan and sounds really rude.
Should not confuse anything on TOYOTA issue and Japan or japanese culture.
The president of Toyota is correct in stating that Toyota just grew too fast here in the USA. Most Japanese companies learned from Demming that Quality and SPC (Statistical Process Control) should be the most important methods of measuring a company's performance. The profits will follow a higher quality product. The president of Toyota could have taken the low road and blamed all of their problems on lackadaisical American workers, but they did not. I seem to recall that the Ford Pinto had a few problems too, but Ford motors has gotten past them. I've never owned a Japanese car, but I was truly impressed with the quality of the Lexus.
