Olympic dining: What's on athletes' plates?

(CBS/AP) What have the athletes been eating during the 2012 London Games?

A rare glimpse into the dining area of the Olympic Village found a wide array of meals, including a local one: Traditional English breakfast, complete with fried eggs, black pudding, roasted tomatoes.

Also on some plates? Kimchi and miso soup, lamb samosas and baba ganoush and, this being the Olympics, McDonald's.

Conspicuously absent: poppy seeds. "It will show up on an anti-doping test," chief caterer Jan Matthews said. And alcohol. The village is officially dry.

Those Russian uniforms are hideous. I think they are a Communist-plot to confuse and distract their opponents. Why doesn't the IOC do something?

These athletes burn up any fat calories in a relatively short amount of time, so no health-freak should be on their case because of eating fried foods or McDonald's. Good for them.
