(CBS/AP) OMAHA, Neb. - Central Florida basketball player Marcus Jordan, the son of former NBA great Michael Jordan, was arrested in Omaha early Sunday following a disturbance outside a downtown hotel.
According to a news release, police responding to a call at the Embassy Suites found hotel security trying to subdue Marcus Jordan, who was having an argument with two women in the hotel driveway at 2:11 a.m.
The release said Jordan was "very animated, intoxicated and uncooperative," and it took multiple officers to control and handcuff him.

Jordan was booked at the Douglas County Department of Corrections for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and obstructing. He had been released by Sunday night.
Jordan, a rising senior, averaged 13.7 points for UCF last season.
CBSSports.com's Jeff Borzello notes that it's not the first time Jordan has made headlines this offeason. In May, the UCF guard "accidentally" propositioned a porn star via Twitter. Then, there were the reports in early June that questioned whether Jordan was returning to the Knights for his senior season.

I'm excited to see if we have a "streaker" during the summer Olympics in Britian. The Brits in the past just get the person off the field with a minor charge and have a laugh . In America, a "streaker" would be tased numerous times, possibly beaten if they resist, and then have a drove of media examine their lives for mental problems or terrorist links if the "streaker" complains about the military response to someone having some free spirited fun.
Jordan's son should have had better judgement, but he's a celebrity's kid who made a mistake that's now being plastered all over the media.
I'm just waiting for the haters to label Marcus Jordan a thug.. and if so-simply because?
(laughing)..
