I find it commical that republicans keep stating President Obama hasn't gotten anything done to help the economy when Mitch McConnell says "the single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term President." How can we expect the President to achieve much needed change when members of Congress are intent on working against him?

I just watched face the nation and listened to Marco Rubio how the USA lets one million immigrants into our country so they may get a job to have a better life for their children. This statement upsets me since myself, my parents were born in this country and now at 57 years of age lost my job cannot get a job nor unemployment or any other help at the verge of losing my home and he supports immigrants so they may work here but I cannot. Where is the sense in this? Please explain what you can do for me.

As to Todd Akin, all he is doing is echoing Republican Party policy as shown by their party platform. He is probably genuinely confused as to the response of the leadership.

Sen. Rubio is being disingenuous. He is conveniently forgetting that the Republican leadership made a decision even before President Obama took office to sabotage every initiative of the President. That's how they became known as the party of "no." They decided to guarantee that the President could not get any legislation through on jobs and the economy or any other important piece of legislation of importance to the American people. Now they're crowing on how little the President was able to accomplish. Even despite that the President still has a long list of accomplishments he can point to. It should also be noted that all Todd Akin was doing was echoing Republican Party policy, especially as reflected in its party platform. I understand his confusion and refusal to step down.

Rubio has yet to state one fact. I will be so happy when this height of political speech is over. President Obama has passed unprecedented legislation, at the horror of the Republicans. The Republicans since then have been running scared, terrified the facts of how this economy tanked will be revealed, or at least remembered.

And still the progressive democrats are not satisfied with Obama, it's a shame. This economy was saved by the acts of this administration, and while we still need continued growth, the economy has come a long way from its tremendous set-back.

To assume that this country has the best free-enterprise and other countries should all be like us is the mostt childish narrow-minded remark yet, short of Akin's.
