More than four years after ending her first run for president and a few years out from her potential 2016 bid, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has paid off all outstanding debts from her 2008 campaign, according to FEC forms submitted today.
Clinton, the early 2008 frontrunner who struggled to stay afloat amid accumulating backing from young voters for then-candidate Barack Obama, bowed out in June 2008 with a reported $25 million deficit. By September 30, that figure had been cut to $73,000. Bill Clinton in November distributed an email to his wife's list of supporters, asking for donations to help pay down her lingering debt in exchange for a chance to win a free trip to New York City to spend a day with the former president.
Now reporting zero debts and obligations, Mrs. Clinton has posted $204,800 cash on hand as of December 31.
With long-held plans to abdicate her cabinet post in the coming months, Mrs. Clinton and her husband have largely played coy when asked whether she will seek the White House in 2016; in an interview with "Face the Nation," the former president whet media interest when he said he had "no earthly idea" what his wife intended to do, but added he would support her if she chose to jump back in the fray.
Mrs. Clinton's through-the-charts approval rating, along with early polling, indicate she could be a worthy contender, but recent health complications involving a blood clot between her brain and her skull may be an inhibiting factor.

In future elections we should require the the sitting President have a second candidate running also.
The way our election system is set up today; even if you don't approve of the sitting President; you are FORCED to choose between only two people.
In the event you don't want to see either person win the election; you have to vote for one or the other or not vote at all.
How many people do you know who did not vote in the election because they didn't want to be responsible for voting into office someone they did not trust or objected to the candidates platforms.?
I admit, I am guilty of voting for what I considered the lesser of two evils.
Both parties should have at least two people to choose from when it comes to selecting a President.
Over the last four years Hillary Clinton; who logged at least 1 million air miles and visited 112 different countries as a top representative of the US government; proved she would have made a much better President than Obama or Romney.
I just wish somebody in the Democrook party had had enough ba**s to draft her to run.
Impeaching or re-calling John Boehner would have improved our current crisis situations too,
Our President, Congress and the Senate are all bought and paid for.
We need to eliminate the Electoral College and go back to one man one vote.
A couple weeks ago I heard representatives from the different States reading from papers that "seemed to be in order" confirming Obama's re-election.
THINGS ARE NOT ALWAYS HOW THEY SEEM.!!
Our entire election process need overhauling.!
Congressional Reform need to be implemented.
Even though it is illegal (according to the Constitution) for members of Congress and the President to consider themselves better people than John Q. Public; they have set themselves apart from the rest of us.
For the last four years Congress has done almost nothing to earn their salaries.
By not passing a balanced budget; they have been acting (or refusing to act)outside of the law.
Congress has actively been working to help Obama tear down the people of the United States to their level.
535 people are ruining this Country and are ruining the lives of 341 million people.
Maybe a 10 MILLION MAN MARCH on Washington would change the high and mighty attitude of these Congressmen and Senators and get them to do what they were elected to do; which is to REPRESENT THE PEOPLE of the United States ; instead of playing bi-partisan political games and paying homage to those who bought and paid for them to get them to pass laws in their favor.
Congress and the Senators are supposed to be UNITED States Congressmen and Senators when they are voting on any legislation, and party affiliation should be left at the door.
When was the last time "We the People" could actually rely on them to do so.??
SAD.!! SAD.!! SAD.!!
What many Americans do not seem to grasp is that WE ARE PAYING FOR OUR OWN DESTRUCTION.!!
Even more sad.!!
