After a two-week bout of illness and a three-day stay in the hospital, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will return to work next week, she told members of the Foreign Policy Advisory Board today.

Clinton had been ill for several weeks, first with a virus and then with several complications that stemmed from it: Her staff said Clinton fainted as a result of dehydration related to the virus and sustained a concussion. Over the weekend, in the course of a routine follow-up MRI, doctors discovered a blood clot in the vein between her brain and skull, and she was admitted for about a 72-hour stay. After being treated with blood thinners, the secretary was released yesterday evening.

According to Clinton spokeswoman Victoria Nuland, Clinton "dialed into today's meeting of the Foreign Policy Advisory Board" for a conversation on a number of "long-term issues, including energy and climate policy, expeditionary diplomacy, and foreign policy priorities for President Obama's second term."

"The Secretary closed by wishing the board a Happy New year, noting she's planning on returning to the office next week," Nuland said.

According to earlier reports from the State Department, Clinton was "very active" by phone and in communication with her staff during her hospital stay. Per the Associated Press, Nuland said she is "sounding terrific, upbeat and raring to go."

Obama and Hillary knew from day one that the Benghazi attack was by terrorist and NOT a you tube video and lied about it! Gen Petreaus said he knew it was terrorist and then it makes sense that the FIRST person that the military and CIA, FBI and others would alert would be the President! Remember in 2008 when Hillary was running for president when she said "Who will answer the 3:00 a.m. call in the morning" meaning any disaster like this WOULD be that the president WOULD be the FIRST to know. The military wants answers and so do the American people! We will find out who is lying! New bumper sticker: "Obama lied and four men died"!

First off to the morn that suggests Hillary and Obama at and watched anyoane die is so ridiculous that I can't even find the right words. Secondly, put the Benghai attack where it belongs. A tragic event caused by terrorists, whether because of he video or not. Thridly, CLinton haters, get a grip.

I can't believe Bill is letting her retire! He likes things just the way they are - with Hillary 1/2 way around the world... no pesky wife to intrude on his fun.

So, she'll testify that she "knew nothing", like Sgt. Schultz, retire, take her pension, and begin to map her way to the White House in 4 years. Pretty scary stuff.

Yeah... and while she is being forced to admit to this horrible conspiracy against her own government, make her testify about her role in the JFK assassination and all that money she laundered to hire those Hollywood folks to fake the moon landing!

Good, now she can testify as to why she and Obama watched while our ambassador and other U.S. citizens were brutally murdered, then had gall to tell us that it was because of video. Appalling that the only person being punished is the producer of video that had nothing to do with massacre, and that contrary to what Obama said, nobody in state dept. has lost their job or otherwise punished.

When is Bush going to testify about how he lost the two highest buildings in New York and New Orleans, the largest port city in the South? Did he not read the reports on Al Queda attempting to commit a terrorist act using aircraft or the weather report when Hurricane Katrina hit?
