Former President George H.W. Bush, "spirits high," remains in hospital

Former President George H.W. Bush, who has recently been in and out of Houston's Methodist Hospital for complications resulting from bronchitis, remains hospitalized today with no release date set.

Spokesman Jim McGrath, describing Bush's recovery, told CBS News, "Yesterday was a really good day - spirits high, aided by another solid Houston Texans win."

McGrath added, "He still has the cough, which causes him pain - so long as he has that he's not anxious to go anywhere."

Bush has been visited in the hospital by wife Barbara Bush, whom McGrath described as "constantly by his side," along with son Neil Bush, grandson Pierce Bush, and former Secretary of State Jim Baker.

The 88-year-old former president is being treated with antibiotics and steroids. This current hospital stay is Bush's second since November.

What an American Hero , service was this mans legacy !

The list of successes are not matched by even a few , a 100 day war that ended with minimal cost of life , limb , & money that secured the world in Leadership of wisdom and stability which was confirmed by the signing of a document aboard a USA Warship to end the cold war and bring peace to all , and the many other unkown events that this Giant of a man aided to a place of success .

The USA with the approval of Russia aided in a big part of the removal of nuke fuel of all levels from Baltics and other location as these dangerous componets from unsecured sites .

I hope PRESIDENT BUSH is brought Home soon , thats where he belongs , not in confines of Hospital , what is on the plate on the rock ?

I know it as "cavok" , but I know it is a little different than this but it means the same thing . This Leader needs all the space and freedom the coast has to offer .

A Giant of a man . GOD BLESS YOU
