Romney, who replaced campaign events on Monday and Tuesday with "storm relief events" and has urged his supporters to donate to the American Red Cross as well, mailed a check on Monday. A Romney spokesman declined to specify the amount donated.
In a statement, the American Red Cross thanked Romney for his support and praised both campaigns for urging people to donate: "The American Red Cross appreciates the support from the Romney campaign and is working with the campaign to process this donation of supplies. We are grateful that both the Obama and Romney campaigns have also encouraged the public to send financial donations to the Red Cross. We encourage individuals who want to help to consider making a financial donation or making an appointment to give blood."

Of course the Red Cross wants money - but what percent goes to the hurrican cause or directly to hurricane Sandy supplies??
I could not believe the smug and disrespectful comments of Red Cross Officials in reaction to Mitt Romney's appeals for aid for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. With salaries of President of Red Cross well over $400,000 and the president of United Way close behind, I'll give my donations to the Salvation Army. Associated Press must have loved to have the Red Cross Politicize this disaster and spin it towards Osama's favor. That's what Associated Press Chairman Dean Singleton wanted! And apparently that's what he and his reporters are getting! Thank God there are still a few independent Newspapers who are not buying the Obama agenda!
These people need other places to stay. They need money for gas. They will not be working for awhile. Are they supposed to carry about boxes of cans of food? I have some stupid crap before but this one took the cake. Instead of spending $5,000 on his own food, he should have just sent them a check for $5,000. What poor judgement he shows.

And you Republicans have blocked it.
This is what we call duplicity.
Romney is worse than Dukakis on a tank. What is his campaign staff thinking? We wouldn't get the facts?
How pathetic this little man is!
