Biden: Crying baby "knows what's in store" if Romney wins

Taking advantage of an opportune moment on the campaign trail, Vice President Joe Biden on Saturday pointed out a crying baby in the crowd of his St. Augustine, Fla., rally to jokingly illustrate his point on rising college costs.

Just as Biden was launching into an attack on how Republicans "decimate education," wails from a baby could be heard to the right of the vice president's podium. Plans by Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, Biden was saying, "eliminate help for middle class families who want to send their kids their kids to college - like that beautiful baby over there!"

"I don't blame her from crying!" Biden said to laughs and cheers from the crowd of about 900. "I don't blame that baby for crying! That baby - that baby... knows what's in store for him or her if Romney wins! I'm glad someone understands my speech."

Biden also continued the gag line President Obama introduced Friday that the GOP nominee suffers from "Romnesia," a punch at Romney's shifted policy positions. "It's contagious," Biden said Saturday, criticizing his rival Ryan for his changing terminology regarding the Republican House budget - "Congressman Ryan caught it as well."

Responding to Biden's theme that the GOP wants to "decimate" education, among other things, Romney spokesman Ryan Williams said in a statement: "Today Vice President Biden noted that the middle class has been 'decimated,' just weeks after he admitted they've been 'buried' in the Obama economy. The vice president is right. With falling incomes, rising costs, and high unemployment, middle-class Americans can't afford four more years like the last four."

To the people like HE_WAS_BORN_IN_KENYA,

This is why history is so important...history, no matter how recent or how far in the past, history does have repercussions.

How about an analogy?

When a hurricane flattens your house and the insurance guys comes around to inspect the damage do you not tell the guys what happened? Do you not try to build a stronger house? And does it not take a long time to get the money either grants or loans before hiring an architect. Does it not take another length of time to break ground? What about the building itself? How long does that take? Finally, does it not take time to decorate and furnish the house? And during the entire time do you chose to ignore the existence of that hurricane? Do you choose to ignore the hurricane that damaged the house or you pretend that it never happened and you just really wanted a bigger house?

There are people in Louisiana who are still waiting to break ground on their new house. And yeah, it was the hurricane Katrina that flatten it.

It will take more than fours years to fix what Bush did in 8. That is a fact.

Finally, anyone who adds Kenya to their complaints against Obama is obviously doing it as a racist code word. Typical of the Tea Baggers to paint Obama as an outsider and illegitimate..."one of those", not white and therefore not like "me".

Hey Kenya, I hate to break it to you but the Nazi's were in Germany not the UK but I guess history, like facts, is not the strong suit of the GOP or most of their followers so I guess you get a pass. Besides if you took some time to learn KPeters is an expatriate.

ECO,
He is an idiot. And he says I have Nazi opinions? LOL! He was to enact Fascist threats and tell Americans where they can live and which Americans are allowed to act on their Right to Freedom of Speech.

I voted yesterday. Obama!

It's unlikely that College costs will go up if Romney wins. It's very likely that the baby's per capita share of the insane national debt will get even worse if Obama wins. Children born this year can look forward to be being debt slaves to the Chinese gov't if Obama and his brain damaged side-kick get re-elected.

Oh so it all happened in the last four years and nothing to do with 8 years of the previous administrations spending while cutting taxes and not even accouting for 2 wars and the prescription drug benefit that was kicked down the road and Obama is blamed because he finally put it on the books.
It is maddening how short peoples memories are and how easily someone elses faults are passed and blamed on others.
I would counter that anyone like Mitt who changes their message as much as he has just to get elected is far more dangerous for this country. But go stick your head back in the sand it must be nice down there.

College prices go up every year anyway...are you saying that Romney being elected will somehow stop that trend?

Forty-Four says:
I just feel like Romney would start another unnecessary war. He definitely lost me (I had no opinion of him at the time) when he said, "...the middle-east needs American leadership..."

So many things wrong with that statement...come on Romney, seriously?

Point of fact I am not sucking off the system so since your jugdement is obviously off on that point all other statements are suspect. But as they say ignorance is bliss.

DC,

Yeah it ticks me off to that my grandparents and the ex-military officer down the road and the disable guy with severe learning difficulties are mooching off my American Taxes!!!!!1 I say either kill them off, withhold food them all, yank the money and let them fend for themselves. I would love to see all the 80 years old seniors fight it out in order to survive. Maybe we could have a reality TV show on survival.

Biden, after I saw you laugh when Joe was talking about those people killed you made me sick. And as far as you talking about the middle class poeple you and obama are the ones who walked all over the middle class. You and obama are such liars like Judge Judy says you can't and obama can't keep up with all the lies you have told. Only a fool would vote you and obama back in the white house.I have lived into old age and I have saw many Presidents come and go but you and obama are the worse and you have done more to destroy America than any other president & vice president.

Do you know of George Dubya Liar Bush and Dick "shoot em in the face" Cheney? You know, the guys that lied to get us into two wars? You know, the guys who cut regulation and got the housing markets to fall - out of sheer greed? You know, the guy who had a F*****n shoe thrown at him? LOL That was rock bottom my Retarded friend. He was such a bad president, such a terrible commander in chief, such an atrocious statesman, that they (overwhelmingly) voted a black guy into office. Ha!

Libya was a disaster ... well with that as your measure I wonder what you would call Iraq. From your other posts you will likely defend it and call it a success with 4000 US troops dead, 100,000+ civilians dead, a training ground for islamic extremists and a recruiting poster, not to mention the financial costs and the biggest cover up and lie of all WMDs.
