(CBS/AP) DELAND, Fla. - The parents of U.S. Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte are facing foreclosure in Florida.
According to a lawsuit filed in May in Volusia County, CitiMortgage is suing to foreclose on Steven and Ileana Lochte. The bank is seeking to recoup $250,000. The news was first reported by TMZ.
Court records show that Ileana Lochte asked the court to dismiss the case last month. Messages left Saturday for her attorney were not immediately returned.

The Lochtes divorced last year. Court records did not show whether Steven Lochte had an attorney. Both parents have been in London recently to watch their son compete.
Ryan Lochte has won five medals, including two gold medals, in swimming events at the London Olympics.
On Saturday, Ryan Lochte posted a photo on Twitter of his family with the following message:

Seen it happen in my own n'hood about 7 yrs ago. The house
went back to the bank after the newlywed's split, and it's
been sitting vacant now ever since the housing market
values dropped like a rock. Now the bank can't re-coop
the money they loaned the newlyweds. Probably a 90%
loan. Sometimes its easier to just walk away from it...
Just because someone loses a house doesn't "always"
mean that they can't afford to make payments on it...
Then the mom blurted out that Ryan doesn't go for steady girlfriends, he just has one-night stands.
They seem a little out of control, so I can't say I'm surprised to hear that they've jetted to London, but they're house is being foreclosed.
Sad though - some of it's the economy with the decreased housing values and the buyer's market. And some of it must be the costs of supporting an Olympian. But some if it does seem to be them ...
Shows that they are some kind of screwed up people...
I know the families of most US Olympic athletes end up mortgaging themselves to the hilt to pay for training and -- unless their kid really makes it big at the Olympics -- they never do break even. But I think Ryan's one of the ones that should.
Hopefully he'll help his folks out and they won't lose their home.
Agreed!
