(CBS) While Queen Elizabeth II and other members of the royal family spent Easter Sunday at Windsor Castle, Prince William opted to mark the holiday with the Middletons.
Reports say William, 28, joined his fiancee's family at church in Berkshire, England, followed by a lunch at their home in Bucklebury.

According to People magazine, William was spotted being driven to the Middleton home on Sunday. The Express reports that William and the Middletons spent four hours over lunch at their five-bedroom home.
"Prince William is very close to Catherine's family and he intends to make sure that the couple spend their fair share of time with them at special periods of the year such as Christmas and Easter," a royal source told the Express.
Members of the royal family who celebrated Easter at Windsor Castle included the Queen; her husband, Prince Philip; Prince Andrew, Duke of York; Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie of York; Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex; Sophie, Countess of Wessex; and Princess Anne, Princess Royal.
Prince Charles is currently in Scotland with wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, and will return to London in time for his son's wedding. He will reportedly skip a dinner for foreign royalty in order to spend time with William on the night before the nuptials.

- If William is smart he should spend every holiday with the Middletons and every day he can with them. Prince Charles is an adulterer and the Royal family is a nightmare. Stay away from them William and Kate and your marriage will last forever!

- I, for one, am boycotting the royal wedding and I urge all Christians to do the same. For the sole reason that the media outlets are putting such an emphasis on the upcoming royal wedding, yet there was no advance mention on the airing of the pope's mass. This country was built on Christian values; it's in our currency, our government buildings, etc. We know that Easter is a widely celebrated Christian holiday - the stores, schools, government offices and other businesses are closed. It is the most significant day in the Christian calendar when we commemorate the resurrection of Christ. Although the pope is in Roman, the Easter Mass is geared to all Catholics around the world, and we know there are millions of Catholics in this country who may have been interested in viewing the mass and hearing the pope's yearly Easter message. The networks in the past have aired the funeral mass of a passing pope, the announcement of the election of a new pope, but they couldn't announce if and when they would air the Easter Mass, which is only once a year?! The royal wedding has no significances to anyone in the United States, except as a gorgeous spectacle. I have nothing against the royal family in England. William and Kate seem like a nice couple and I wish them well. In fact, I even planned on watching the royal wedding with my family, but when I see the heavy media coverage being put on an event that has no direct effect on its citizens except for entertainment value and there is no mention of the pope's mass, that is disturbing to me and should be to others.
