Watch: 75-foot buzzer-beater wins college hoops game
(CBS) - Calling it a once in a lifetime shot is an understatement. Most professional athletes will play their whole careers without making a play as incredible, surprising and emotional as this game-winning basket. This weekend's greatest college basketball play comes from Lindsey Wilson College and senior guard Chase Spreen. Check out the full-court, buzzer-beating heave that won the game for the Lindsey Blue Raiders.
The last-second shot was so improbable the camera didn't even follow the ball into the hoop. But the replays show the shot in all of its improbably glory. The announcer going absolutely nuts only adds to the scene. The only folks not running wild are the Georgetown College players, who can only shake their heads at a wild 79-78 finish.
