Elin Nordegren, the former Swedish model who divorced golf pro Tiger Woods after a five year marriage when his infidelity was revealed, has reportedly demolished her $12 million home in exclusive North Palm Beach, Florida and will build a new one on the plot.
A report by The Palm Beach Post shows a photo of the vast home taken in the spring, and then a photo of the empty plot taken on January 5.
According to the Post, Nordegren bought the home only about a year ago, after her highly public divorce from Woods in 2010.
A local realtor who told the paper he visited the house for a party in the autumn, said he heard the plan was initially to renovate the 1930s home, but that Nordegren decided to start completely from scratch after work got underway.
The old house in the exclusive Seminole Landing development had eight bathrooms, an in-ground swimming pool, an elevator and a total floor space of 17,000 square feet, according to the Post.

Don't forget that nothing about her life has been made public. She's an ex-model, her parents were rich, so, hey, who knows.
It disgustes me to see people throw money away like this. Sure Tiger was a complete scumbag for cheating on her but I don't remember reading a single article about him throwing away millions of dollars. On the contrary, I read plenty of stories about him raising many millions of dollars for charity.
Her actions (throwing away $12 million) are at least as revolting as were his actions (cheating on his wife).
1-percenter throwing away a perfectly good mansion to build another. Sickening.
We place way too much value on looks and athletic ability. Tiger's good at golf and she's pretty. But we've clearly over-valued their worth. So much that they (ok, she) have money to literally throw away. His job is to hit a ball with a stick and her job is to look pretty. They add no value to our society as individual contributors.
It all just seems silly. This is why America is on the brink of collapse. We have our values misplaced.
Three generations ago we valued adventurers - people who discovered distant planets and walked across continents never explored by man, set foot on the moon, and flew solo across oceans. Now we value flash, not substance.
