(CBS News) NBC gave a nice boost to its fall comedy "Animal Practice" Sunday night when it aired the pilot immediately following the 2012 Olympics closing ceremony.

The show centers around veterinarian Dr. George Coleman, who appears to get along better with his patients than he does with their owners.

Justin Kirk of "Weeds" plays Coleman, and the show also stars Tyler Labine, Bobby Lee and Joanna Garcia Swisher. The scene stealer, we hear, is Crystal the monkey, Coleman's pet capuchin.

The series will make its official debut on Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. ET.

Did you watch "Animal Practice"? Will it be a hit this fall?

A junk show that will be boycotted due to the fact that NBC interrupted the closing ceremonies with it. Even if that didn't happen, it is garbage.
