The Point Pleasant Beach Council unanimously voted against 495 Productions' request to tape the "Jersey Shore" spinoff featuring Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jennifer "JWoww" Farley, the Asbury Park Press reports.
"It's not what we need at this point," Councilman William Mayer said.
Nearby Toms River also turned down the MTV reality series, which was filmed in Jersey City in its first season.
But Borough Business Administrator John Camera said the spin-off would be welcome in nearby Seaside Heights, which is home to MTV's popular "Jersey Shore," now in its sixth season.
"As always, we generally welcome anyone shooting in Seaside because it gives us notoriety," Camera said.
An MTV representative said the network would not comment on a show in production and 495 Productions did not return the newspaper's request for comment
