"Zero Dark Thirty": First trailer released for film about the hunt for Osama bin Laden

(CBS News) A new trailer has been released for "Zero Dark Thirty," the drama about the Navy SEAL Team 6's hunt for Osama bin Laden, which ended when he was killed on May 2, 2011.

The film, from Oscar-winning director Kathryn Bigelow ("The Hurt Locker") and screenwriter Mark Boal, stars Jessica Chastain, Joel Edgarton, Chris Pratt and Kyle Chandler.

The trailer, which clocks in at just over a minute long, gives glimpses of those searching for bin Laden and makes heavy use of the black bars used to redact classified information in documents.

"Zero Dark Thirty" is scheduled to be released in theaters on Dec. 19.

So, they get mad over a SEAL writing a book (No Easy Day), but the White House helps make a movie about it with direct access to all levels included in the raid. That doesn't happen unless the powers that be want credit for it for an up coming election they want to win and the brass at the Pentagon want that next rank to play along and give all this open access to this cherry picked producer.


Looks like the book stole their thunder and is out before the movie. And the book was from the guys doing it- so they know how it went down and not by some Hollywood cherry picked producer to paint the Politicians as the heros- "We Got Him" No, the SEALs got him, you just finally allowed these Warriors to do their damn job.
