Beyonce to Gabby Douglas: "Thank you for inspiring all of us!"

(CBS News) Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas received a special congratulations from Beyonce.

After the gymnast took home the gold in the all-around final Thursday, Beyonce posted a message on her website acknowledging Douglas' big win:

"A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO 16 YEAR OLD OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST GABBY DOUGLAS - WOW - WHAT A THRILL TO WATCH YOU TAKE THIS GOLD!

I CAN TELL YOU'VE BEEN WORKING HARD FOR SO LONG - ENJOY THIS MOMENT, ITS YOURS. THANK YOU FOR INSPIRING ALL OF US!"

Douglas is the first African American to win the gymnastics all-around title.

Beyonce wasn't the only one to congratulate Douglas. Oprah Winfrey, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Elizabeth Banks and Octavia Spencer all gave the U.S. gold medalist a shout out on Twitter.
