Robert Pattinson hiding out at Reese Witherspoon's vacation home: Reports

(CBS News) After the news of Kristen Stewart and "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders' affair, many have been asking, where is Robert Pattinson?

According to reports, the British actor is hiding out at Reese Witherspoon's vacation home in Ojai, Calif.

Pattison's "Water for Elephants" costar Witherspoon offered her $7 million ranch so he could relax and get away, according to Us Weekly.

Pattison, who had been dating Stewart for three years, has remained silent during the entire scandal.

Paparazzi caught photos of Stewart and Sanders in a "steamy rendezvous" on July 17 in Los Angeles. According to Us Weekly, Stewart and Sanders, a 41-year-old married father of two, were driving around L.A. looking for discreet places to embrace.

Before the pictures hit newsstands, Stewart issued a statement apologizing for her "momentary indiscretion" and saying that her choice "jeopardized" her relationship with her boyfriend and "Twilight" co-star Pattinson.

Saunders also issued a statement, saying that he is "praying" his family will get through the ordeal together.

Perhaps the now that the glow of the film has ended, people are showing their true colors and character. If this situation spared him from discovering that she wandered after they were married, then it is lesson learned.
