"Homeland" Season 2 teaser released

(CBS News) Showtime has released a teaser trailer for its upcoming second season of "Homeland."

The 35-second clip doesn't show any footage from the new season, but it does give a glimpse inside the mind of Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes).

In the teaser, scenes and dialogue from last season flash before her in quick succession as she stares ahead, occasionally turning her head and shutting her eyes.

This season begins with Mathison having been inside a psychiatric ward for six months, after undergoing a series of shock treatments. But, by the looks of this teaser, it seems that her memories about Sgt. Brody (Damian Lewis) may come back.

"Homeland" returns on Sept. 30 at 10 p.m. ET.
