Stone talked about his "Around the World in 80 Plates" co-host during an appearance on "CBS This Morning" on Friday.
"I spoke to her last night and she's doing fine," he told "CBS This Morning" co-host Erica Hill. "When you go through this stuff in life and make decisions you're not so proud of. And I'm sure that she's had a tough time with it. But she's keeping her head up. And she's doing all right."
Cora, 44, was cited for driving under the influence after she rear-ended a vehicle in Santa Barbara, Calif., on June 17, according to People. She had to return to the police station 11 days later to take a mugshot, because she did not take one the night of her arrest.
The chef has apologized since her arrest, saying in a statement, "I deeply regret my decision to drive that evening after my designated driver became unavailable. I learned a very important lesson from this experience and take full accountability for my actions."
