"Gone Girl" to be made into a movie

/ Getty(CBS News) "Gone Girl," Gillian Flynn's new novel about the disintegration of a marriage between two writers, has reportedly been sold to 20th Century Fox for seven figures.
Flynn, who has her two previous novels in the Hollywood system, will write the screenplay, according to Deadline. Actress Reese Witherspoon heads the production team with Bruna Papandrea and Leslie Dixon.
Flynn's debut novel, "Sharp Objects," was optioned by Alliance and her second,"In Dark Places," has Amy Adams attached as the star.
"Gone Girl" has been on the bestseller list since it was published earlier this summer. Flynn is a former writer for Entertainment Weekly magazine
