Chenoweth was taken to a hospital after being treated by medics on the set.

In a statement, Chenoweth thanked everyone "for their prayers and good wishes."

CBS Television Studios released a statement to CBSNews.com following the incident: "This afternoon, while filming a scene for The Good Wife in Brooklyn, a gust of wind blew a lighting silk out of place striking actress Kristin Chenoweth. She received treatment on the scene by the show's medic until a New York Fire Department emergency medical team arrived and transported her to the hospital. All of us at the studio and the show are thinking about Kristin and wishing her a quick recovery."

On "The Good Wife," Chenoweth portrays a "top-of-her-game political reporter" who wants to know more about Peter Florrick's (Chris Noth) campaign and marriage to Alicia (Julianna Margulies). The new season of "The Good Wife" premieres Sept. 30.

Chenoweth took home a Tony Award for her role in Broadway's "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown." She also won an Emmy for her work on the TV series "Pushing Daisies." She has appeared on "Glee" and "Hot in Cleveland," and has a role in the upcoming film, "Hit and Run," which opens in theaters on Aug. 24.

I knew she was small but to put in the hospital because she got accidentally hit with a piece of silk is pretty telling. She is the cutest little doll. I wish her well and a quick and full recovery.

If you're referring to KRISTEN's childhood in Oklahoma, you're right! I hope she never does! The fact that she grew up in a fairly small town in Oklahoma is part of her charm!
