I'd like to say a few words for the dear dead departed, and maybe a few hymns 'd be in order. Followed by a church supper. With a choir..

Yes - celebrate, don't mourn! What an incredible talent. Thank you Ernie. Whether it was a villain, a "heavy", a victim, a good guy, even a beset-upon PT boat captain, you shared your consummate skill with us for an incredible two-thirds of a century.

May God be with you. RIP.

Ermes Effron Borgnino, a screen heavy with a heart of gold. Not only were your screen villains menacing but when called upon, your sense of comic timing was superb as well. After 6 decades of granting us entertainment and joy, may you go with God Mr. Borgnine. We'll never see your like again.....

He was a wonderful man. Always showed up in Milwaukee to lead the Great Circus Parade, and did a lot of charity work here. He will be missed!
