Jane wrote her letter in response to another piece, titled "Vote for Mormon against beliefs," which expressed support for Christians who don't vote for Romney because of his Mormon beliefs.
She began by stating that she's a Christian, who differs with the Mormon religion.
"But I think any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon," she wrote in the letter titled "Election-Casting ballot deserves prayerful consideration."
"Any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney's opponent, Barack Hussein Obama - a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright's church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage," Pitt continued.
Pitt concluded: "I hope all Christians give their vote prayerful consideration because voting is a sacred privilege and a serious responsibility."
Brad Pitt, who grew up in Springfield, Mo., spoke about his mother to The Hollywood Reporter in January. "She's very, very loving -- very open, genuine, and it's hilarious because she always gets painted in the tabloids as a she-devil. There's not an ounce of malice in her. She wants everyone to be happy," he said.
Brad, meanwhile, has supported the president and been very vocal about his support for same-sex marriage. At one point he told Ellen DeGeneres, "I've said that we would not be getting married until everyone in this country had the right to get married."
The actor and Angelina Jolie got engaged in April.

All they can do is pray for their children and know that they brought their children up right. That is all parents can do and if their children choose to go against their teaching when they're adults that isn't their parents' fault.
Children aren't clones of their parents. They're individuals with minds of their own.
Ever see Brad Pitt in an interview? Not a 2 minute one, but an in depth one. Ain't alot going on upstairs.
And too many "religious" people completely miss the point of love and tolerance and use it to spread hate and judgement. Shame on you.
