Demi Lovato shows off new pink hair

(CBS News) Demi Lovato has hopped on the latest dip-dye trend, sporting partially pink hair at "The X Factor" San Francisco auditions.

Lovato, who joins Britney Spears, Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid as "X Factor" judges, tweeted to her fans "Yay!!" Simon approves of my pink hair!! #SFactor" along with a picture.

The show's Twitter account tweeted back saying, "We not only approve...We want!!! #PinkHairFactor"

Lovato is not the first celebrity to try out the dip-dye or colored ombre look. Kate Bosworth, Lauren Conrad and Nicole Richie have all given the look a try.
