Police shutter club after Chris Brown-Drake scuffle

(CBS/AP) The fall-out from the Chris Brown-Drake dust-up continues.

In the latest development, police have shut down the New York City nightclub where Brown and Drake's entourage got into a bottle-throwing brawl.

A New York Police Department spokeswoman says the club W.i.P in the city's SoHo neighborhood was closed Saturday night because of code violations. The NYPD gave no details on the violations.

Chris Brown, his girlfriend and his bodyguard were among eight injured during the fight inside the club last week. Police say members of Drake's entourage stopped Brown as he was leaving. The fight escalated and bottles were thrown.

San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker says he suffered a scratched retina during the brawl.

Drake's representatives say he was on his way out when the fight began and did not injure anyone. Brown spoke to police.

The New York Daily News reports that clubgoer Lucy Pavlovsky, 24, plans to file lawsuit after being left with two gashes stemming from the dust-up.

"My plan is to sue anybody who threw a bottle, anybody who created that dangerous atmosphere," Pavlovsky's lawyer, Javier Solano, told the paper.

Drake seemed to address the incident indirectly during his Saturday night concert at Long Island's Jones Beach Theater.

"When I woke up this morning, I had to think about a lot of things," he said before adding that all he cared about was being in New York City. He also made a comment about being too drunk to care that it's last call.

I guess HARD is now determined by who has the rowdiest friends.. Nothing less than Organized Music Crime.. Having someone do your dirt for you and then claim not to have been involved. If Drake and his companions started the fight, his passport and workvisa's should be revoked.... Could have been a conspiracy to send CB back to Jail on a Violation. Don't need folks coming to the country, rounding up our youth to stir up stupid shhhhh....
