"Moesha" actress Yvette Wilson dies

/ Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images(CBS News) Actress Yvette Wilson of the '90s sitcom "Moesha" has died after battling cervical cancer, according to reports. She was 48.
A friend of the actress told CNN that Wilson died on Thursday around 7 p.m. Her manager later confirmed it to EW.com
Wilson was best known for portraying Andell Wilkerson on "Moesha," which starred singer Brandy. Wilson continued playing Andell in the show's spinoff "The Parkers," which starred Academy Award winner Mo'Nique.
Wilson's "Moesha" co-star Shar Jackson wrote on Twitter, "Oh god...My hear is soooo unbelievably broken..." and then later tweeted, "I wanna thank all my tweeties for their prayers but god has chosen to take my sister Yvette home..."
