(CBS News) Dario Franchitti won his third Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, and wife Ashely Judd was there cheering him on.

The "Missing" actress, 44, joined her husband in Victory Lane after the win, where they kissed and celebrated.

"[It's] just such an extraordinary achievement," Judd said of Franchitti's three Indy 500 victories, according to the Los Angeles Times. "I am so proud of him."

Franchitti, who drank the traditional bottle of milk in Victory Lane after the win, donned white sunglasses during the race in tribute to Dan Weldon, the two-time Indy 500 winner who was killed in a crash last October in Las Vegas during the Indy 300.

Weldon's wife, Susie, reportedly went to Victory Lane to congratulate Franchitti. She also joined him and Judd for the traditional winner's lap around the track in the pace car, the Daily Mail reports.

Franchitti and Judd, who married in 2001, also posed with the Borg-Warner Trophy at the race's start/finish line Monday during the traditional winner photo session.

So what was Ashly Judd supposed to say..."Every Memorial Day it's the same damn thing...and why can't we drink champaign instead of milk for a change?"

Many really great drivers never won at Indy...let alone three times

I know that I'll sleep more soundly tonight, feeling safer in my community now that DF has driven a car really fast and his actress wife is proud of that. Also, how awesome was it of him to dedicate his win to all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country? Oh, wait....

3 wins at Indy is amazing. The competion is so tough, the cost just to get a car to the track is huge, and finding a skilled driver who has the nerve to drive at 200 mph plus is not easy. I never raced open wheeled cars, I never had the backing to race at any national series. I have raced against Dale Earnhardts sons and dauhter in the Late Model class at Myrtle Beach S.C. That was a long time ago. I did not have the money to advance. I do know that even in the late model series winning a race is a thrill. So many people watch a race and say "I can do that", I said the same thing. It took me a year to get my first win and that was in a lower class called late model stock. I raced on dirt, and dirt late models have far more horse power than the asphalt cars, and unlesss the cars are set up correctly, they are not easy to get around the track. It takes so much more than a driver to win a race, but the drivers of Indy Cars are very talented, and brave. I have retired from racing, but I enjot almost all types of auto racing. Congratulations to Dario Franchitti on his 3rd Indy 500 win. As for Susie Wheldon, I thought it was very classy for Franchitti to allow her to participate in the Victory Lane festivities. So what if she marries again. Dan Wheldon and all drivers know racing is a dangerous sport, and he got to realize his ream, I am sure he would not want his young wife to live alone forever. I wish her well, and I hope she finds happiness.
