"These new series feature a great range of bold concepts, rich characters, big stars and fresh faces," said Nina Tassler, president of CBS Entertainment, in a written announcement released this morning.

The following shows will make their debut on the network in the fall: "Elementary," a contemporary take on detective Sherlock Holmes in New York City, starring Johnny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu; "Vegas," a drama inspired by a real-life sheriff and his battle with a mobster in 1960s Las Vegas, starring Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis; "Made in Jersey," starring Janet Montgomery as a smart first-year lawyer with a working-class background practicing at a prestigious New York City firm; and "Partners," a comedy about two very different life-long best friends and business partners, starting David Krumholtz and Michael Urie.

CBS is also sticking with its crowd-pleasers, including "NCIS," "The Big Bang Theory," "Person of Interest" and "2 Broke Girls."

The network reshuffled some of its shows' times, creating a comedy night on Monday with with its new comedy "Partners" and "2 Broke Girls" sandwiched in between "How I Met Your Mother" and "Mike & Molly."

The cast of another continuing CBS show "Blue Bloods," including Tom Selleck, rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange this morning, the day of the announcement, which will be followed later today with a presentation for advertisers..

What is it about all these shows about Gay people? Not entertaining and frankly turning me away from then networks that promote this behavior. I prefered the closet, and the closets does not exsist now because people are falling away from God and embracing sinful behavior. If they want to indulge in this behavior and accept God's judgement, that is their choice but I don't want to see it on my tv. I know some of you are going to say turn my tv but the reason I am sounding off is because CBS does not want me to do that. So sharing my opinion helps them save their customers. And I know i am not alone in this feeling.... Ps... I would like to see another good wholesome show like the 80's Growing pains!

"Partners" looks so tired and predictable. A re-hashed version of "Will & Grace," with the exact same jokes (like the gay guy rubbing his head into his woman friend's breasts because he's upset and he needs "the girls" for comfort) -- um, REALLY??? It was funny the first time -- you know, a decade ago! And that was because you had Sean Hayes and Megan Mallally doing it. This time, not so much.

I still can't understand why "How I met your mother" is still been renewed, that is the most dull, boring show in TV. Just because at 7:25 there are people tuned does not means we are watching it. In my case I tune to CBS around that time to watch "Two broke girls" so don't count my household because we care less about "How I met you mother". You cancelled Rob and left them? you have no sense of humor.
CBS don't be so racist with the hispanics, Rob is a great show.

About CSI is time for all of them to go, they got boring, time for more funny shows like Rob.

They should have cancelled the original CSI. Can't take it seriously with Sam Malone in the lead. CSI Miami is better than the 2 remaining shows. CBS ,,, you suck !!!

Excited about the new programming, but really upset that CSI Miami is being cancelled. After 10 years they deserved a send off show. Not just a regular season finally!

Lawyers, police, and doctors. According to TV, there are no other professions.
