Lifetime has ordered 10 episodes of a docuseries chronicling the lives of the late singer's family members.Pictures: Whitney Houston 1963-2012
The show, tentatively titled "The Houston Family Chronicles," is expected to launch later this year on the cable network.
The series will show how family members are grappling with the death of Whitney, focusing on Pat Houston, the singer's sister-in-law and manager. Pat is also helping care for Whitney's only child, 19-year-old Bobbi Kristina. The series will feature Whitney's mother, singer Cissy Houston, as well as cousin Dionne Warwick and gospel vocalist CeCe Winans.
"I have been working with Simmons-Shelley over the past few years developing a project suitable for myself and our family," Pat said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "The unexpected passing of Whitney certainly affects the direction of the show. However, it is my hope that others will be enlightened as they watch our family heal and move forward."
This won't be the only TV project for Bobbi Kristina. She recently signed on for a part in Tyler Perry's TBS comedy, "For Better or Worse."
Whitney died in February at age 48.
