Matthews performed an acoustic version of the song, alongside The Roots' "Captain" Kirk Douglas for the episode.

According to a tweet by producer Steve Lillywhite, the track won't be acoustic on the upcoming Dave Matthews Band album. There's no release date yet for the set, though it's expected out later this year.

Dave Matthews teamed with Fallon on the college-friendly "The Walk of Shame" during the episode, which was taped at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. President Barack Obama was the guest.

Dave Matthews Band kicks off a tour May 18.

Dave Matthews has a new song out. That' great. :) However... what really has me amped up is the first new single from Men Without Hats in 20 years, "Head Above Water." Now THAT'S big music news to me!
