"The Hunger Games": Katniss Everdeen shows off her archery skills in new clip

(CBS) The media blitz for "The Hunger Games" continues.

On the heels of new photos, new TV spots and the news that author Suzanne Collins gave the highly-anticipated big-screen adaptation of her novel a thumbs up, a new clip from the film surfaced online Thursday.

The video, posted on the film's Facebook page, shows a scene that fans will remember from the book. Heroine Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) displays her archery skills during an exhibition for the Gamemakers, who organize the annual battle-to-the-death of the novel's title. When she realizes they aren't watching her, she uses her bow and arrow to grab their attention.

"The Hunger Games" hits theaters on March 23.
