(CBS) Justin Bieber will turn 18 on Thursday, and the birthday celebrations are already rolling out for the Canadian star.

In honor of Bieber's March 1st birthday, fans will try to break a Guinness World Record for "Most Social Media Messages Within 24 Hours." "Beliebers" are being asked by AgencyNet to visit HappyBirthdayJustinBieber.com on Thursday to receive a specific message to post on social media sites in hopes of reaching 209,772 -- the number needed to break the existing record.

And in keeping with the birthday spirit, Hallmark will release a series of Justin Bieber greeting cards this April.

Fans will get to see Bieber on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Thursday for what's being touted as a "spectacular celebration."

Bieber will also make an appearance on Ryan Seacrest's radio show on his birthday.

We bow gracefully- You indeed beat our record for the most social media messages in 24 hours. Everywhere, Social Media Firm along with CNN, BlogWorld and several others set that record in 2009 with our social media for social good message, #Beat Cancer. http://mashable.com/2009/10/19/beatcancer-sets-record/
