(CBS News) Actress Sean Young wants an apology from The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences following her arrest at the official post-Oscars bash on Sunday.

"Waiting on word from The Academy on a public apology," the "Blade Runner" star wrote early Tuesday morning on her Facebook page. "I think they have figured out it was in fact there security guards fault and may indeed feel they should issue an apology to me. I will keep you posted."

Young, 52, was placed under citizen's arrest Sunday night following a run-in with a security guard. After being booked for investigation of misdemeanor battery, she posted $20,000 bail and was released early Monday.

According to TMZ, Young reportedly got into an argument with a security guard over taking photos at the entrance to the event. She didn't have an invite to the party, according to reports.

The "Celebrity Rehab" alum has since taken to Facebook to tell her side of the story.

"I just want everyone to know that I was sober, extremely well behaved when a very stupid security guard went postal on me and then The Academy's very stupid lawyer recommended a 'private person's arrest' and I have grounds for a lawsuit against the Academy although I believe a public apology to me would be much better," Young wrote. "I am OK and I have the Hollywood Police Stations support who very carefully and kindly photographed the bruises on my arms which this guard is responsible for doing."

What is it with Hollywood and Ms. Young? Why not issue her an invitation? She is part of Hollywood, so why not?

The Rent A Cop shouldn't be making "citizen" arrests since she was at the entrance and not "inside the event".

He had no legal authority to lay hands on her until she actually entered the event and should have never laid hands on Ms. Young forcefully enough to cause bruises.

If this Barney had to consult with a lawyer before making the arrest he should have seen this coming and taken no action until Ms. Young became a trespasser.

If I am the Academy, I am mailing a written apology to Ms. Young and considering hiring off duty police officers to police my events.

Sean Young is owed an apology; she's a great actress and respected for her work, as the pictures with "current" film stars taken that evening attest to (Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, etc.). They know film very well, and she should be treated with respect for the work she's done, and should not have been treated like someone who just tried to enter the party with fake credentials (unearned). For an ignorant guard and the probably some film-ignorant manager to manhandle someone who has a place in film history is repugnant. Other stars who may not be at the height of their careers or have had problems with behavior due to substance abuse were not snubbed by the Academy. (Do we really need to name them?) .She should sue if she does not get an apology.

Her behavior isn't from drug abuse. She's plain and simply a freakin' whackjob.

The way I see it, Sean Young can still do movies and television. So she didn't have a ticket to the afterparty, she could have easily still gotten a door invite. It's done all the time for those of you that don't know snot.
I think the security guard was way out of line as was the so called AP Executive witness that stated the guard was firm and not violent, never-mind the neck hold and bruises. I'd hunt him down...

Never heard of her before today. If she behaves as poorly as she writes, I'd say no one owes her anything.

Time for her to hang it up. She blew her "heyday" on drink and now wants a second chance. Too late. She hurt alot of people along the way. Live with it.

She's has a history of being crazy, doesn't have an invitation to be where she is, and doesn't walk away from the argument like any normal person would, and yet she's owed an apology. Typical Scorpio.
