"Biggest Loser" contestants reportedly threaten to quit

(CBS) Trouble is reportedly brewing on the set of NBC's "The Biggest Loser."

Insiders tell TMZ the remaining contestants have walked off the show and are now threatening to quit completely.

It all stems from a secret twist reportedly planned by producers. The move would introduce former contestants into the mix to compete for the $250,000 grand prize.

Sources say the remaining "Biggest Loser" contenders decided to bolt in the middle of shooting an episode because they think the twist could hurt their chances at the big prize. Now producers have shuttered production for a week to figure things out, reports TMZ.

NBC has yet to comment on the report.

The next "Biggest Loser" episode, airing Feb. 28, finds the players returning home for 18 days with a challenge to lose 5 percent of their body weight.

by Pilm99 April 20, 2012 12:36 PM EDT: Boy was I just shocked to see the 5 cry babies threaten the producers with leaving because they decided they no longer like the rules of the contract they signed. And the nerve to say they were taking a "moral" stand, when has breaking a contract that you read, agreed to, and signed, a moral stand? It's called breach of contract, and they could be, and should be, sued (but I show probably won't, though I would enjoy it). Gotta say, Conda is such a witch, of course Kim is second in line for witch of the year, for the way they treated Adrian and Daphne, ridiculous! The whole house was filled with hypocrites, acting like Adrian and Daphne didn't work hard, and they who were in the house had it rough (really, great trainers, free healthy food, place to live and workout while not working, while Adrian and Daphne did just as good at home on their own. I have to say, these people are really Big Losers, not weight wise, but morally and ethically! And what's up with that youth "pastor", such an embarrassment to any Christian's watching, joining in with the hypocrites, and acting like a spoiled baby and brat ... no wonder his son turned into an elephant, with a dad like that I'd probably have turned out the same way!

Anyway, stupidest move on the show had to go to Condi and her brother Guido as they apparently twisted arms to toss Santa Claus' wife off instead of Kim. So even though I think Kim is trash, it was great fun to see her throw down a 15 pound weight loss that forced Condi's brother Guido off the show (how could such a fat guy only lose 10 pounds in the most important week, come on Guido, lay off the french fries)! Thing was that youth pastor hypocrite and his buddy Buddy should have voted for Kim, yet they didn't, so stupid. Anyway, was glad to see these two fatboys leave, but really wished all 5 had left, or the show had just kicked them all off for being cry baby whiners! Would have been great to replace all 5 with those who had been voted off (who didn't, by the way, "lose", but were the victims of brutal house politics).

Well, now that it looks like bit*chy kim whiner wench will be the winner, don't think i'll watch any more of this season. If there is a next season, hope the show will get a better cast than the clowns they got this time (kind of like Survivor, sometimes they pull all losers, then they regroup and cast higher qualify people rather than the dumpster diving that was obviously done to find the trash they got this time).; Reply to this comment

At the point they stopped production of the show because they didn't approve of the return of the contestants who had been sent home, I believe they should have been sent packing at their own expense a and demand be made that their failure to comply with the rules of the show be reimbursed to the program. This was utterly ridiculous. While the producers of the show never know the personalities of the contestants in advance, this entire season has been less about the united front of those participating and more about dividiness and an unwillingness to be the supportive family the viewers have come to love about this show that changes the lives of so many. I commend the trainers and the producers and Allison for their willingness to continue to work with a group that is so selfish and self serving. Stephanie; Reply to this comment

by cliffsmom April 11, 2012 1:39 PM EDT: The real blame lies with the producers of the show. They have complete control over what parts make it to the showed that is aired. The focus on drama and neagativism is coming from THEM to get an audience. The people selected may be unkind people, but nothing is being done from the producers or the trainers to show them in any other light. Beat up the players if you will, but lay the blame where it really belongs....at the doorstep of the powers that be for the show.; Reply to this comment

I won't watch another show, what a bunch of cry babies, none of the contestents are worth watching. a bunch lazy, fat, whiners. they all should go home. get a new group of people who want to lose weight. maybe I'll watch the next group. SAD!!!!

Producers will let them go and bring back eliminated contestants instead to compete if they're smart. Good riddance to bad rubbish AND wll prevent the same thing from happening again and again in the future.
Especially if this means Conda is gone and out of the public eye forever, and I never have to hear her talk again.

I hope the producers do go through with their twist. At this point, I don't want to see any of the remaining contestants win the grand prize. Besides, the contestants shouldn't have problems with a twist...I mean, all they have to do is lose the greatest percent of weight. Oh wait, that's right, they haven't been working on their weight...just their mean attitudes! Please bring back the Biggest Loser we all enjoyed!

by lrng2cook April 10, 2012 10:44 PM EDT: Come_on_now...yes people are reading it! :) I just watched the show, and I am so happy that everyone agrees they should let the people come back that were a "threat" and let these crybabies be on their way! It seems like everyone that was there to change their lives and pay it forward have been voted off, and these people that have no clue the opportunity this show has given them, they take it for granted. The next twist should be at the finally, everyone that makes it to the final four, it really fighting for the $100,000 prize, and the people that were sent home can fight for the $250,000 grand prize!

Please let them quit! Bring back the eliminated players instead of them...make it into a big thing. I have never seen such a mean group of people and it disgusts me. I don't want to watch the Biggest Loser anymore!!! It doesn't inspire me and I don't enjoy it. It actually leaves me stressed and wondering how somebody with such a big opportunity to change their lives can be so mean. LET THEM QUIT! PLEASE! I really do hope that the producers find a nice group of people for next season...this season was just plain RIDICULOUS. And also, please make Conda LEAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LET THEM QUIT! Don't give into them!!!

Bring back the woman who was kicked off last week because they ganged up on her. Bring back the other contestants too because their departure was also tainted by Conda. We don't want to see Ana Conda any more, she's a snake. Take her off and leave her off. When I watch the show I want to know more about good nutrition and how to lose weight, not about watching her talk about people behind their backs. And I'm surprised at the ones who went along with her, they are just as bad with no spine at all. Keep them all off and bring back all the other contestants, it's the right thing to do. I will watch if you bring the others back and get rid of Ana Conda. Even with her past there is no excuse for her behavior. None at all.

I have not missed a season, but I will be quitting this one. I am so disgusted by Conda and Kim that the show no longer holds my interest. Is this a middle school slumber party or something? Are there really no adult, motivated people out there who like the team challenge and appreciate the "gift" they are getting to change their lives? I also don't understand why the directors give these crybabies so much screen time. It's repetitive, demeaning and boring!!!!

Conda and Kim have too much screen time, without enought common sense, or respect for anyone else. I'd like to see more of the other contestants that are grateful for this opportunity and are trying to work through their own "roadblocks" to good health without the excuses, backstabbing, and blame game. Neither of them are setting a good example for anyone.
