(CBS) It was a "Freaky Friday" reunion on CBS Tuesday night.

Jamie Lee Curtis, the star of that 2003 comedy about a mother-daughter body swap, turned up as a guest star on the hit Mark Harmon drama "NCIS." Harmon co-starred in "Freaky Friday," which also featured Lindsay Lohan in the teen daughter role.

In a rare TV appearance Tuesday, Curtis played Dr. Samantha Ryan, recruited by the "NCIS" to look into what looks like the suicide of a Navy reservist. That's when the sparks begin to fly.

Curtis, who returns to the show next week, told "Entertainment Tonight" that she and Harmon are good friends.

""I'm very fond of him and he's very fond of me. That's just a given," she said.

What the clip below and tell us what you think of her role on "NCIS" and whether there is chemistry between the characters.

I like JLC - but as Gibbs's new lady - definitely no. She's too brash, pushy and aggressive to be his significant other. I think the Coastguard Officer - another Abigail - would be much better. I hope JLC does not reappear - it will be the "off" switch again if she does.

My wife and I have been ardent Gibbs fans for years. Jamie Lee Curtis is a terrible match for Jethro. I've had to leave the room because of the complete vibe mis-match that just seems so forced, out of character, whatever. JLC? Really??? I agree with other posters, the CID Lt Colonel was The One.

I gotta say that it was nice to see JLC doing something other than commercials. And although she was okay as an NCIS character, she is not a keeper. I'm sure I don't have to tell you there was no chemistry between MH and JLC.

Jamie looks like she should be cast as Gibb's sister. I had to leave the room - the writers tried way too hard to give us the Harmon/Jamie chemistry. Either it's there or it's not - and it's not.

I thought they were awesome together. However, do you think the people over at Activia yogurt had a snit when her character said she was lactose intolerant?

I love "NCIS" but Jamie Lee Cutis is not the love interest the that Gibbs needs or that fits the role of Gibbs love interest. The writers need to go back to the drawing broad on this one. Sorry Jamie, your not right for the part.

You got that right. She looks older than him. So far, I haven't liked any of the women they've tried to pair him with.

Great show last night, Jaime Lee Curtis did a great job but sorry, there is just no way you could ever convince me of a love interest between her character and Gibbs. Through these years of seeing his love interests on the show, Gibbs' style, you could say, she comes across like a ****** sister not a new sexual looking love interest. Sorry, they don't even look good together.

Look, I'm a huge fan of NCIS but the writers are really gonna screw up if they end up with Harmon and Curtis hooking up. Curtis' character already looks pathologically manipulative...that little trip to Vance's office to complain about Gibbs showing up at the kid's school only makes her look either bi-polar or like she's outright playing them both. If the writers let Gibbs get sucked into this relationship, it'll be the death of Gibbs aura of invincibility in being one step ahead of everyone else. Once you ***** that armor, you ain't gonna get it back.

The should have worked that CID Lt Colonel into his long term relationship...they were compatible and there was palpable chemistry. Letting that opportunity fizzle was a huge mistake.

They were great together in the show. Saw it last night - absolutely one of the best shows on television. Love NCIS Los Angeles too.
