(CBS/AP) NEW YORK - If you thought the arguments and meltdowns on "Celebrity Apprentice" were all for the camera, Debbie Gibson has some news for you.

Gibson, one of 18 new contestants in the season that begins Sunday night on NBC, says the rivalries are not made up. Nor are the producers and crew pushing buttons to get the celebs to react.

The sniping is real and, the mild-mannered Gibson says, when the cameras were on her constantly and she was suffering from a lack of sleep, she got snippy, too.

If the stress got to Gibson, can you imagine what it will do to such high-maintenance celebs as Victoria Gotti and Teresa Giudice?

Isn't Gibson worried that she'll ruin her image?

Gibson says she considered that before agreeing to do "Apprentice." She called Cyndi Lauper's manager, who said Lauper's ticket sales jumped after the singer appeared on the show.

According to published reports, the premiere episode will have celebs running sandwich shops for charity. We can't wait to see "American Choppers" star Paul Teutul Sr. spooning up potato salad in an apron.
