In January, Cannon was hospitalized after suffering from what his wife, Mariah Carey, described as "mild kidney failure." Since then, he's been going to the doctor regularly for check-ups.
Cannon, whose a father to nine-month-old twins with Carey, said he'll continue to host his syndicated weekend show, "Cannon's Countdown." He hopes to contribute to the radio station whenever he can.
