Chaka Khan backs out of Whitney Houston Grammy tribute

Khan tweeted that she wasn't ready to perform after the passing of her friend.
As I grieve the loss of my friend and "little sister," I don't feel it appropriate to perform at this time. Continue to pray for the family.

In 1978, Khan released the song "I'm Every Woman," written by the songwriting team Nickolas Ashford and Valerie Simpson. Houston later recorded a hit version of the track for "The Bodyguard" soundtrack.
