Will Ferrell delivers hilarious NBA player intros
(CBS) Funnyman Will Ferrell stole the show Wednesday night while introducing the starting player lineups ahead of the New Orleans Hornets-Chicago Bulls game.
Ferrell, who's in New Orleans shooting the political comedy "Dog Fight" brought in a lot of humor during the player intros -- mostly one-liners, ripping on the Bulls with made up "trivia."
Among the highlights? To Chicago Bull forward Carlos Boozer: "He still lives with his mother" and to Bulls forward Derrick Rose: "His favorite movie is 'The Notebook.'"
The thing is, Ferrell knows a thing or two about sports. He gravitated to sports way before he tackled acting and comedy, serving as a kicker for his varsity football team. According to IMDB, Ferrell held the school record for the most field goals. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Sports Information. While there, he was on track to become a sports broadcaster, even interning at NBC Sports.
But then the acting bug hit, and we know how the rest turned out. Ron Burgundy anyone?
