"There is so much at stake in this campaign," Johansson said in a statement. "2012 will not be easy. We have to fight even harder this time around, and that's where Runway to Win will make a real difference."
The event, held at the Theory store in New York, brought together 27 fashion designers who all made relatively low-cost items such as canvas tote bags and T-shirts with Obama images and logos. They now are now being sold online, with the profits going to the campaign.
Johansson pronounced them "wearable, beautiful pieces."
Some of the designers who participated included, Marc Jacobs, Beyonce and Tina Knowles, Tory Burch and Jason Wu.
